Equaliser for guitar, that lasts a long time

If you have either a preamplifier, equalizer or other electronics in your guitar, often the problem is that the battery fails. I got tired of this problem and designed a frequency equalizer whose battery will last for years with several hours of use per day.

With a supply current of approximately 100 uA, this assembly allows a use (with a 9 volts battery of 600 mA / hour) of 6000 hours.

I made this circuit and potting it with epoxy. We see at the top the three potentiometers of frequency correction. On the left we see the volume potentiometer, the latter comprising an interuptor for switching on. On the left again we see the entrance to the guitar pickups. On the right we see the battery connector and the output.

How to install an equalizer in a Gibson guitar

On the left the two pickups are connected together by their mass, that is to say by their sheaths. This mass will connect to the mass of the equalizer. Each of the live pickup wires will connect to the pickup selection switch. At the bottom left we see the volume knob which has the meise switch on by the pull / push action and the 9 volts battery. At the bottom center we see the three equalization potentiometers. On the right, we see the output connector.
